An Isle of Wight library is hosting a unique event for all the family where visitors can get up close with a feathered friend that Harry Potter would be keen to meet.
Working with Newport based tourist attraction the Owl and Monkey Haven, an owl will be on show at Ryde Library between 1100 – 1230 on Monday 22 August.
The haven’s mascot – a giant monkey – will also be at the library.
Staff will also tell stories and anyone can have their photo taken with the animals. Although entry is free, the library is expecting the event to be popular and is advising people to arrive early to avoid disappointment.
There will also be a chance to win tickets to the Owl and Monkey Haven and a free raffle prize draw.
