Ofsted have placed the school in Special Measures, so the Church of England’s Portsmouth and Winchester Diocesan Academy Trust (PWDAT) has offered to sponsor the school.
Having dropped further in the ratings since the last report, the CQC say if there is not a significant improvement in the next six months they may take enforcement action.

Although the new headteacher is considered passionate and hardworking in her efforts to improve the academy, the former 'Good' school has been rated as Inadequate by Ofsted and placed in Special Measures.
Since being taken over by Ormiston Academies Trust, Cowes Enterprise is now considered a new school by Ofsted, giving them a chance of starting again, so exiting Special Measures.
