Island education has been let to slip in to such a poor position that 3/4 of children joining a secondary school on the Isle of Wight, will do so in a school that's been judged as 'Inadequate'.
Shockingly the Isle of Wight Education Authority came 150th out of 150 English local authorities for expected progress in English and Maths between KS1 and KS2 Government figures reveal. One Parent Governor Representative will ask the council leader tomorrow what is being put in place to support those Island children 'failed by the school reorganisation', to enable them to reach their true potential.
