Network Ryde would normally have put on an awards ceremony for these young people, inviting their parents, carers and friends so they could celebrate with everyone, sadly due to Covid-19 this has not been possible
16 Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) participants, leaders and parents worked with Isle of Wight artist Tony Trowbridge to create a mural in Freshwater expressing what the Island and DofE mean to them.
The Isle of Wight Council has been confirmed as the operating authority for the Duke of Edinburgh Award on the Island after securing another three year licence from the youth charity.
Congratulations to Suzanne Whitewood who was last week presented by Prince Edward with a special embroidered plaque for service to the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award over a period of 48 years.
