Today (Tuesday 1st March) is Shrove Tuesday, so that means it’s Pancake Day and also that Easter is just around the corner – 17th April.
The day before Ash Wednesday, Shrove Tuesday is traditionally when Christians use up all their milk, sugar and eggs before the 40 days of fasting, Lent.
These days, people tend to give up just one item for Lent – chocolate or alcohol being popular choices.
How do you like your pancakes?
We’re fans of super-thin pancakes with a squeeze of fresh lemon and a light dusting of sugar.
However, we know many of you like to dress up your pancakes with all manner of toppings, from bacon and cheese, to banana and chocolate spread. And some of you prefer the thick and fluffy pancakes.
Get creative
