Readers will remember we wrote yesterday about the Islanders cycling from Paris to Newport, Isle of Wight in order to raise money and awareness for the Kissypuppy, the Sophie Rolf Fund.
Paul Blackley who is taking part got in touch with On The Wight this morning to update us on their progress.
Up with the lark
It was an early start for the team, who were up at 5.30am ready to set off through the streets of Paris.
Alas, ten minutes into the journey, as they headed to the Eiffel Tower, the first of three punctures hit.
Quickly repaired and onto the Tower for a photo opportunity, they soon set off through the Parisienne rush hour heading out to the Palace of Versailles.
Let’s get it trending
