It’s not surprising that it appears that there’s some movement in the council’s position on the proposed schools closures – there’s a meeting next Tuesday at County Hall where those councillors against the school reforms are attempting to stop the changes.
The front page of the CP has an article implying that there’s still time for negotiation in the proposed school closures.
Cllr Pugh is quoted, ending it with “… or how many people (former cabinet member) Patrick Joyce stirs up to become offensive and aggressive towards us.”
What did Patrick Joyce have to say in return?
“That’s absolute tosh from a nasty little man who has made an assumption just because he has got a couple of letters from St Helens.”
Dirty game, this politics lark.
