Appreciate trees with Isle of Wight singer/songwriter, Paul Armfield, at this intimate musical performance, as part of the People’s Palace of Possibilities at Ingram’s Yard, Ventnor between 7-9pm on Saturday night.
In 2023 Paul composed a bewitching series of songs to celebrate the trees that can be found at Sibden Hill in Shanklin, a small but delightful bit of woodland that sits at the edge of a fairly modern housing estate.
Featuring snippets of lore, history and fact
The songs are designed to bring into focus the personalities of the trees and feature snippets of lore, history and fact.
Paul will be performing these along with a selection of other songs from across his 20 year career as a singer/songwriter.
Great critical acclaim
Paul Armfield is a singer, songwriter and artist, based on the Isle of Wight. His songs have received great critical acclaim, fans include Lauren Laverne, Guy Garvey and Caitlin Moran.
His 2015 album ‘Found’ a selection of songs written around a collection of photographs gathered from the flea markets of Berlin was declared ‘The best Berlin album of all time’ by Radio Eins. He regularly tours across Europe as well as running the award-winning independent Medina Bookshop in Cowes.
