News reaches us that the The Chale Community Project has a new Project Coordinator on board.
Peter’s appointment will be officially announced at a Celebration Event hosted by Ellen MacArthur in Chale this coming Saturday 9 October from 11am – 2pm.
It marks the successful completion of Phase 1 of the project – the intensive renewables retrofit of 67 homes – and mark the start of Phase 2 which will focus on other aspects of village life such as Transport, Waste and
Local Produce.
Local knowledge invaluable
Katie Steiness, Community Projects Officer for The Ellen MacArthur Foundation, said “As we approach the end of Phase 1 of the Chale Community Project, we have several other projects in mind that need to be fully investigated with a view to bringing them to fruition so we are delighted that Peter has come onboard to coordinate these efforts as his skills and local
knowledge will be invaluable”.
Peter will be working from the Project HQ on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 9:00 – 13:00, Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 17:30 -19:00 and alternate Saturday mornings from 10:00 – 12:00.
