Broadcasting 1st December 2007, on Mixing It, BBC Radio 3 10.15pm UK time, a specially commissioned 30 minute work by Ergo Phizmiz “Wholepole – The Discotheque of Erotic Misery”.
Using instruments, electronics, and samples, the piece builds up a strange audio universe of vintage pornography, monkeys, and banjoes.
A special dedicated website at wholepole will feature free downloads of an “Extended Club Mix” of the work, plus remixes from Satanicpornocultshop, Vernon Lenoir, Drut, Puyo Puyo, and Listen With Sarah. This will be active from 1st December for one month.
BBC Radio 3 broadcasts at 90-93 Mhz FM, and online at Radio3. The work will also be archived for one-week after the broadcast date at mixingit.
