After their successful opening concert of 2013 at Ryde Methodist Church, where £350 was raised for the Isle of Wight Girls’ Brigade, the Phoenix Choir continue their season with a performance at St John’s Church, Newport on Friday 3rd May, commencing at 7.30pm.
The Choir are singing in aid of the Isle of Wight Society for the Blind and there will be a £5 admission charge payable at the door.
They will perform under the banner of ‘From Pavarotti to Presley’ and their varied programme will include a medley of songs from ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’.
They are looking forward to adding to the £8,500 they have raised for good causes since their début three years ago. Full details of the choir can be found on their website www.phoenixchoir.org.uk
