Isle of Wight five piece, Plastic Mermaids, have just released a sneak-peak from their eagerly-awaited third EP.
Music Website, GoldFlakePaint, have the honours of carrying the exclusive new track, Painted Lady, which is every bit as dreamy as you would expect from the psychedelic popsters.
Rollercoaster crescendos
These guys sound like nothing else out there as Jamie takes the lead vocals in this almost-orchestral masterpiece.
As with all Plastic Mermaids’ work, the listener is taken on a rollercoaster journey through the track, with soft melodic vocals, ambient moments and uplifting crescendos.
You can almost imagine the smiles on their faces as they recorded this track.
Third EP
OnTheWight are big fans of the Mermaids’ work and along with many others have been waiting with baited breath for the next EP, which apparently is due out on Cross Key Records in 2016.
