Platform One Creative College just keeps going from strength to strength. Since opening in 1999, results have never dropped below national benchmarks and are consistently above expectations set by the government across the country.
Once again Platform One students have achieved outstanding results.
Thirty-three students achieved the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Music, which is equivalent to taking three full A Levels. Many students exceeded challenging targets, with eleven students gaining the equivalent of three straight A grades.
Pontin: We’re proud of the achievements of each and every student
Education Director, David Pontin, commented,
“We are absolutely delighted with results again this year. We are proud of the achievements of each and every student.
“It is fantastic that all of our students will progress to their first choice universities, with some students progressing straight into employment.”
Platform One students are progressing to various universities, including Platform One’s BA (Hons) Commercial Music, which is run in partnership with University of Chichester.
Tabner: Students have produced outstanding outcomes
Post 16 Programme Leader, Adam Tabner went on to say,
“It has been an incredible academic year with students producing outstanding outcomes.
“A significant highlight was the Arts Aid event, which was conceived, developed and run by the Year 2 students. This joint music and fashion event celebrated the new Sustainable Fashion department and raised over £4,000 for Wessex Cancer Trust.
“Also, to see all the students play the Platform One Stage at Isle of Wight Festival was also just incredible. We are so proud of their achievements and their academic results.”
