A new format for this popular evening begins the year at Quay Arts in Newport.
The Open Mic Poetry & Music gives you the chance to share poetry and music with an appreciative and encouraging audience or if you prefer then simply listen over a glass of wine or cup of coffee.
You never know, mixing poetry and music might result in some Jim Morrisons or Mike Skinners coming forward.
All poets and musicians welcome.
It all takes place in the Cafe Bar from 7.30pm and will only cost you £3 to get in.
If you want to perform, make sure you book your 5 min slot by 7:25pm.
