Police appeal following reports of a group fighting outside bar in Ryde

Officers have been investigating an incident which occurred outside The Marine bar on Ryde Esplanade.

We were called shortly after half past midnight on Sunday 16th October to reports of a group fighting and that two people had been assaulted.

Did you witness the event?
We know there were a number of people in the area at the time that will have witnessed this incident, and we are asking witnesses to please get in touch with us.

Man arrested
As part of enquiries, a 34-year-old man from Ryde has been arrested on suspicion of assault by beating and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

He has been bailed until 13th November while enquiries continue.
