Police have today (Wednesday) arrested another teenager in relation to the assault that took place in the early hours of Tuesday morning in Ryde.
Yesterday a 17 year old male was arrested and today another 17 year old male has been arrested.
Police were called to Appley Beach at around 12.30am on Tuesday morning to reports of men fighting.
A 26 year old man from Ventnor was seriously injured in the incident.
Police have asked anyone who may have mobile phone or camera footage of the incident to get in touch by calling 101.
