Police confirm this morning that they were called around 9pm on Thursday 3rd January to “reports for the concern for the welfare of a 44-year-old man in Gurnard”.
They say they carried out an extensive search of the area, using the police air support unit helicopter as well as vehicles on the ground.
The man was located around 11.15pm and detained for his own safety.
