Most of the post office branches across the Isle of Wight have had problems with their Card Account readers not working this morning. Happily, as of about five minutes ago, they started working again.
VentnorBlog reader George Christie got in touch to say that the purple cards, used to withdraw pensions or benefits from the post office, stopped working this morning.

If you know someone that uses them, and might have not been able to get out money this morning, it might be an idea to pass this on to them.

The Post Office got in touch with VB to say …
“A temporary computer problem that affected access to online banking services at Post Office branches earlier this morning has now been fixed.
We are very sorry for any inconvenience this problem has caused customers. We have identified the problem and service is now being restored to branches across the network.”
