Prior to the State of the Island Debate that takes place during the next Full Council meeting, the public are being invited to a meeting on Saturday 21st January to share their views.
It had been hoped that members of the public would be able to take part in the ‘State of the Island Debate’ during full council, but this has been deemed not possible under the Isle of Wight Council Constitution, so the public are being invited, instead, to take part in a debate on Saturday 21st January from 10am.
Take part in public meeting
The public meeting takes place at The Riverside Centre, Newport on Saturday 21st January at 10am.
It’ll be your chance to express your views on The State of the Island, which the Independent Group of Councillors will listen to and take into the Debate at Full Council.
We’re told that the meeting will be apolitical and will be chaired as such.
If you want to share your views, pop along to the meeting and take part in the debate. Seems there’s a lot of interest for it.
