Following the closure of two of the three roads in and out of Ventnor, public transport with Southern Vectis is heavily disrupted on the number 3 route.
The route in and out of Ventnor via Whitwell is already seeing heavy streams of traffic and drivers are advised to take extra care on the diverted route.
No Route 3 to Ventnor
With Leeson Road and Ocean View Road having been closed, Route 3 buses are currently only able to serve as far Wroxall Church, before heading to Shanklin. Upper Ventnor, and Ventnor town will not be served at this time on Route 3.
For direct buses to Ventnor, Southern Vectis highly recommend using the Route 6 from Newport.
Replacement shuttle service
There will be a Shuttle service operating on an hourly basis, between Sandford garage to Ventnor, via Godshill, Whitwell to Ventnor.

The bus will then head to Godshill via Central Car Park, Trinity Church, St Boniface Rd, Mitchell Avenue, Ocean View Rd, Gills Cliff Rd, Whitwell Rd, Whitell Narrows to Godshill Hollies.
Leaving Godshill Hollies to Sandford Garage – 06:25, 07:09, 07:28, 07:54, 08:24, 09:08, 10:10, 11:15, 12:15, 13:17, 14:17, 15:17, 16:17, 17:17, 17:47, 18:43, 19:31, 20:51, 21:51
Buses will then turn at Sandford Garage and head back to Godshill Griffin at – 06:29, 07:17, 07:58, 09:16, 10:16, 11:21, 12:21, 13:21, 14:21, 15:21, 16:21, 17:21, 17:51, 18:50, 19:50, 20:55, 21:55

Late night service
There will be a 23:35 trip from Ventnor Boots to Newport that will operate via Central Car Park, Trinity Church, Mitchell Avenue, Ocean View Rd, Pine Point, Whitwell Rd, Whitwell Narrows, Rookley and Blackwater
