Public Views Wanted on Area Action Plans

Island residents are being asked to give their views during a planning consultation for three areas on the Isle of Wight.

Public Views Wanted on Area Action Plans‘Area Action Plans’ (AAPs) are being developed for Medina Valley, Ryde and The Bay areas and will looks at future development, regeneration and conservation in those areas.

The council are very keen to hear your views on the AAPs and you have until 15 June to do so.

Note that this consultation is not on the AAPs themselves which do not yet exist. The consultation is Area Action Plan draft boundaries only, i.e. where they begin and end. To answer the obvious question which everyone asks about this process, the website says: “It should be noted that the possible boundaries do not identify an area within which development would be permitted; they are not extensions… Read more »

What’s the point? This exercise was done, and then shelved, not so long ago. What a waste of resources.
