Quarr Abbey by Vincent Dupont-Blackshaw

Quarr Abbey
The monastery was built for the French Benedictine community of Solesmes, who were living in exile on the Isle of Wight at the beginning of the twentieth century.

The brilliant example of twentieth century expressionism in architecture was actually designed by one of the monks, Dom Paul Bellot.
