Rhythmtree Festival will be taking a break in 2023 due to a number of reasons including the rising cost of fuel and artist fees, production and labour costs.
The Rhythmtree team posted the news to social media earlier today and have received an outpouring of love in response, with many fans leaving supportive comments about the popular family-friendly event.
The message posted to social media read:
Dear Rhythmtree Friends and Family,
We want to start by thanking all of you that have supported us over these difficult few years. From our original home at Three Gates Farm to our most recent, beautiful site at Sticelett Farm; you have been there for us.
We received so many positive comments about Rhythmtree 2022 and enjoyed seeing all the fantastic pictures of your experiences, topped off by the stunning sunset.
However, while running an independent festival is rewarding, unfortunately, it comes with its challenges. The festival ecosystem has changed due to numerous issues, some temporary and some more long-term… such as the rising cost of fuel and artist fees, production and labour costs; all while people are enduring a cost-of-living crisis.
This financial pressure has meant our small team has had to take the very difficult decision to postpone the 3-day festival in 2023 to protect the life and longevity of Rhythmtree.
We want you all to know that we are doing everything possible to ensure Rhythmtree Festival returns in full for 2024…
That said, we know this will leave a gap in your live music calendars for 2023; so if you need a tiny bit of Rhythmtree in your summer then please sign up for our newsletter, as we will soon be announcing limited tickets for some intimate gigs in our woods at Sticelett Farm in July.
This has been the hardest discussion to date and one we haven’t taken lightly.
Once again we thank you for supporting us and hope that you will join us again in 2024.
Love The Rhythmtree Team
