Rob Da Bank Visits St Catherine’s School, Ventnor (podcast)

Rob Da BankRob Da Bank was down in Ventnor today, visiting St Catherine’s School, where he recently became patron to.

After his tour of the school, there was a QandA session with the students which brought up some fantastic questions – we hope to get the podcasts of these out later in the week.

We met up with Robby after his visit and had a quick chat to find out what he thought of the school.

He started off by telling us that he found it really inspiring to see so much effort being made to provide such a great place for the students to develop.

He went onto explain that Suzanne Hudson had asked if he would get involved with the school and as the Island is close to his heart and he now has a child of his own, with another on the way, it seemed the right thing to do.

He was very impressed with, not only the facilities, but also the high quality teaching staff – commenting that the school had a totally lovely vibe and is clearly a great place for its students to gain the skills and confidence to go out into the wider world.

Having spent the day at the school, Robby went onto say that it has certainly changed his perspective and said that he could easily see himself trying to spend a lot of time down at the school talking with the kids and learning more about them.

This is fantastic news for the school of course, having such a high profile patron who also has a desire to be involved can only do wonders for them.

Well done to everyone involved in making this happen, we can see that this is the start of what’s likely to be a beautiful relationship.
