Since Rob Reed joined Ventnor as it’s new Town Centre Manager back in November 2007, you might’ve noticed quite a few changes in town.
The Ventnor 2008 group have been cataloguing these positive changes and have a set of ‘before and after’ images up on Flickr.
The photo on the right is the newly renovated bus shelter in Albert Street – quite a difference from the ‘before’ picture below, we’re sure you’d agree.
You might remember back in March 2008 we brought you an update on what was happening with the Trinity Road bus shelters.
One of our members raised the question on the Ventnor Blog Forum of what could be done about the bus shelters which had fallen into disrepair and were projecting a bad impression to visitors.
Within a very short space of time, this was raised with Rob Reed, money was being donated by Southern Vectis and the Town Council, with volunteers carrying out the work to refurbish the shelters.
This is just one of the projects that has happened around town with the help of Rob Reed and we feel that he should be congratulated for his efforts in keeping Ventnor a clean, tidy and safe place to live.
Check out the photos on the Ventnor 2008 Flickr Stream to see evidence of other work carried out around town.
