Rouse Limited is taking the initiative to organise a remarkable raffle, with the objective of gathering urgently required funds for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (HIOWAA).
This exceptional raffle is set to launch on Saturday 24th June, during a lively event scheduled from 10am to 4pm.
The venue for the day’s activities is Lugley House on Lugley Street, Newport, which houses the offices of Rouse Limited.
The event promises to be an enriching experience, providing insights into the pivotal work undertaken by the HIOWAA, alongside a unique opportunity to step inside the helicopter itself.
For the adventurous ones, there is even a chance to test your own flying skills, though this feature is recommended for attendees aged 11 and above.
Charity of the year
Rouse Limited, renowned independent financial planners based in Newport, have chosen to champion the cause of the HIOWAA for the year 2023.
Their fundraising target is set ambitiously at a minimum of £20,000, with a commitment to match all contributions up to this amount.
An array of splendid prizes
The raffle boasts an array of splendid prizes that include a lavish ‘on the water’ experience, a beautiful fine art photographic print, and a hamper of premium drinks.
Participants will have to wait until the prize draw on Friday 29th September to discover if they are one of the fortunate winners.
Butler: Please help us to keep the service flying
Lisa Butler, Director of Rouse Limited said,
“Having learned more about the HIOWAA I am in awe of the extent of the service it provides and am very pleased we are able to support them.
“This is a service that hopefully none of us will ever have the need to use – but we’re determined to ensure it continues to be there for everyone who does.
“We hope as many people as possible will come along to the raffle-launch event, buy a ticket or two, and hear first-hand how vital this service is.
“Please help us to keep the service flying.”
Entirely reliant on donations
It’s worth noting that despite the HIOWAA working in conjunction with the University Hospital Southampton and South Central Ambulance Service, both NHS funded entities, the air ambulance operates as a charity, and is entirely reliant on donations.
HIOWAA offers a service that is nothing short of crucial for severely injured or sick individuals across the Island and Hampshire, delivering care standards one would expect from a major trauma unit.
An average of six missions per day
The fact that the Air Ambulance manages to attend an average of six missions per day, all year round, many of which are lifesaving, is indeed remarkable.
