Staff at Ryde Library have been very busy raising money for ‘Messy Mums’ — a baby bank charity that provides support and signposting for families with babies and young children.
Ellie Rutherford and Shannon Roper, who set up and run ‘Messy Mums’, were delighted to accept more than £200 worth of donations of nappies, baby clothes and other supplies needed by the families they support.
The money was raised over the past six months from a tombola that staff and customers contributed prizes for and staff made personal donations as well.
Dodd: Such a good cause
Jo Dodd, library supervisor, said,
“All of the staff here at Ryde Library were thrilled to raise money for such a good cause, and of course supporting families in the local community is what libraries do best.”
