As we reported last week, unfortunately due to ill health Sam Brown has had to postpone her Ryde Theatre gig scheduled for 26th October, for which she apologises to everyone.
She will be undergoing a simple operation this week to treat a throat condition common to singers which requires an 8 week recovery period.
Jon Mortimer, who booked and has promoted Sam Brown for her appearance told us,
Sam’s agent has told me an exact reschedule date cannot be given until Sam is fully recovered. However there will be a reschedule and the plan is for that to be early next year. I am as disappointed as anybody that the event has been postponed having worked pretty much solidly on promoting it for the last 2 months, particularly as that seemed to be paying off with a sell out realistic – over 300 tickets had been sold with three weeks still to go.
Given that, I am hopeful that people hold onto their tickets which will remain valid for the reschedule which I will publicise as soon as I have it. Alternatively full refunds are available from the point of purchase. I apologise for any inconvenience caused and wish Sam a speedy recovery – she has had to cancel all the remaining dates on this, her first UK tour for three years, so I know if there was any way she could have continued she would have – but its good to hear the problem has been diagnosed and is easily treatable.
