Last weekend, five swimmers from the Ryde Swimming Club Masters flew to Guernsey to compete in the 32nd Guernsey Masters International Swim Meet at the Beau Sejour Leisure Centre in St Peter Port.
Competing against swimmers from the Channel Islands and as far afield in the UK as London, Wrexham and Southport, the team racked up a great tally of medals.
Matthew Sussmes won four golds, Isobel Foster won one gold, two silvers and two bronzes, Jenny Ball won two golds, Imogen Sussmes won two silvers , and Sam Sussmes in a return to competitive swimming after a long break won one silver.

In addition, Ryde took gold in a closely fought mixed 200m FS relay (Imogen Sussmes, Matthew Sussmes, Isobel Foster and Sam Sussmes).
The team is growing from strength to strength and hopes for an even larger team next year.
