The ever-popular Sandown Illuminated Carnival takes place on Wednesday evening (28th August 2024), with the spectacular costumes of Shademakers UK taking a starring role in the parade.
Fresh from their acclaimed show Ad Astra at Shanklin Theatre last month, Shademakers expect to have some of their most stunning creations on display both in Sandown on Wednesday and at Ryde Illuminated on Saturday.
Wednesday’s parade will also feature marching and samba bands, as well as the usual colourful floats and community entries.
Sandown Carnival chair, Paul Coueslant, says,
“It’s our final carnival event of the 2024 season and promises to be a special evening.
“We advise spectators to be in place early for the best view’.”
