See the best of 2013 Isle of Wight Film Festival entries

The Isle of Wight Film Festival is holding a special event this coming weekend (Sat 14th June), not only showcasing some of the best short films of the 2013 Film Festival, but also to make some announcements about the upcoming Festival in August.

Film Festival director, Bruce Webb, said,

“This screening shows the truly International scope of the festival, and in 2014 we’re adding another day to the festival so we can show more films, and therefore have more overseas guests.

“We’re also excited to announce a collaboration between Portsmouth Film Society with outdoor screenings, and the confirmation of the 1970’s classic, shot on the Island starring David Essex and Ringo Starr – That’ll Be The Day”.

Where and when
The event kicks off at 8pm at Ventnor Arts Club, 13 High St Ventnor. All are welcome and the bar is open throughout the screenings and afterwards until late.

Stephen Izatt of Ventnor Arts Club said,

“It’ll be great to watch these films in comfort, on our big screen and an opportunity for film makers and enthusiasts to meet up, do a little networking and perhaps inspire some productive collaborations.”
