A Painting is a Hungry Beast
In Herman Melville’s novel ‘Moby Dick’ he describes an old besmoked painting hanging above a fireplace, so blackened that no one can know with certainty its original subject. Doubt and speculation inevitably fill the void; ‘constantly becoming’ is a quality usually attributed to abstract painting and is perhaps the most alluring of encounters for a painter to present to an audience.

Tours take place at 11am and 4pm each day (23rd July to 1st August 2021) and last for one hour. Visitors are limited to ten per tour. Masks will be required.
