Helping you embrace a healthier lifestyle
Starting on 18th September 2024, the programme offers two new swimming sessions—Group A from 1pm to 2pm and Group B from 2pm to 3pm. These sessions offer 12 weeks of fitness and realistic weight loss, all while enjoying the facilities in your local community.

Gloji focuses on helping you embrace a healthier lifestyle, improve your mental well-being, and move towards your personal goals.

What is Gloji?
Gloji is a comprehensive health and well-being programme tailored specifically for Isle of Wight residents. It combines exercise, nutrition, and mental wellness support, helping you take a well-rounded approach to improving your health.

Free access to a digital web-app
In addition to the swimming sessions, Gloji gives you free access to a digital web-app. This tool is designed to support your journey, with 87% of participants who use it successfully losing weight. It’s designed to work alongside your in-person sessions, offering:

  • 12 weeks of interactive videos to guide and inspire you. Learn more about nutrition, movement, mind, alcohol and sleep.
  • A wealth of online articles and healthy, delicious recipes to help you achieve your dietary goals.
  • The online Gloji gym, offering a variety of workouts you can enjoy at home.
  • Live online events and Q&A sessions to connect with experts and other participants.

Funded by the Isle of Wight Council, Gloji is a local initiative available to all residents who meet the simple eligibility criteria, allowing you to start this journey without worrying about costs.

Free swimming sessions
Gloji’s exercise programme includes swimming sessions that offer a fun and low-impact way to get fit. Specifically for individuals who can swim 25 metres unassisted, these sessions will help you improve your swimming technique and fitness in a fun, relaxed environment.

Professional instructors
A professional instructor will be there to guide you through each session, ensuring you get the most out of your time in the pool. These sessions are a great way to connect with others in your community while working towards your goals.

To help keep you on track, there will be a weigh-in at the start, giving you a clear goal to work towards during the programme.

Delivered real, meaningful results
Gloji’s exercise programme has delivered real, meaningful results for Isle of Wight residents.

One member lost 6.8% of their body weight, or 6 kilos, in just 12 weeks (about 3 months). Another lost 5%, shedding over 5 kilos. These results are more than just numbers—they reflect real improvements in health and well-being. If they can do it, so can you.
