We hear that the Simon Langton Grammar School For Boys Chamber Choir – who are from Canterbury – are returning to the Island next month for a short tour for the third consecutive year.
The choir is a soprano, alto, tenor and bass ensemble, consisting of approximately fifteen confident singers and sight readers of music.
Conducted by their music teacher Emily Temel (nee Renshaw), the boys like to perform an eclectic mix of music.
Three concerts on the Island
Emily is very well known in classical music circles on the Island, both as a solo singer and as a member of the Orpheus Singers.
The boys perform regularly in school concerts and annually in School Carol and Commendation services held in Canterbury Cathedral.
