A Utilita Energy representative will be dropping into Vecta Oddfellows’ Newport Coffee Morning to share their latest advice on tracking energy usage and how to save on gas and electricity costs.
Starting at 11am, the event will take place on Wednesday 26th October at Unity Hall on St Thomas’ Square and costs £2 to cover refreshments. All local residents are invited to attend.
Heap: Knowledge helps you feel more in control
Maretta Heap, host of the event and Secretary of friendship group Isle of Wight Oddfellows, said,
“Knowing how to keep energy costs down, as well as being able to share tips on using it more efficiently, is very much needed right now.
“Keeping informed and understanding what action you can take, or what extra financial support you might be able to access, can help you feel more in control and to worry less.
“Everyone’s welcome to come along and share in our discussions.”
Meets every two weeks
The local friendship group meets for coffee every two weeks at its Newport venue, often with an invited speaker in attendance or special activity on offer. It also hosts inexpensive events in various locations across the Island.
