Sponsors, supporters and helpers of Ryde Rowing Club were entertained at an informal gathering at their Clubhouse on Friday evening (30th January) to thank them for their support during the last year.
With the 2014 competitive rowing season now over it was time for Ryde Rowing Club to celebrate another successful season at the club presentation dinner.
With a number of members unavailable it was a slightly depleted Ryde Rowing Club Boys Junior Squad that competed at the Itchen Junior Regatta on Saturday (11th October) – but they gave a good account of themselves with every squad member racing at least twice over the 600m sprint course on the River Itchen.
Shanklin Sandown Rowing Club's juniors rowed excellently at Itchen Junior Regatta, with the regatta not only providing debut races for some rowers, but also some winning performances!

Shanklin Sandown Rowing Club enjoyed an excellent end to the season, with two wins, two second places and some other excellent performances at the South Coast Championships in Swanage.
Ryde Rowing Club, sponsored by Wightlink Ferries, completed the 2014 Coastal Season on a high on Saturday (13th September) with two wins in the Open Events at the 2014 South Coast Rowing Championship Regatta held at Swanage in Dorset - although their was disappointment for their Men's Junior Senior Crew in their Championship event.
Wightlink sponsored Ryde Rowing Club take a large team to final Coastal Event of the season this weekend (Saturday 13th/Sunday 14th September) – the South Coast Rowing Championships - being staged in Swanage, Dorset and hosted by their own Association – the Hants & Dorset ARA.
