Ventnor Rotary and St Catherine’s are joining forces to organise a new must-go-to event for this August Bank Holiday, the Summertime Blues & Jazz picnic.
Being held at East Dene on 25th August, Summertime Blues & Jazz is a chance to discover this beautiful setting, while enjoying the traditional jazz sound of The Unity Stompers.
John Whitehouse, President of Ventnor Rotary Club, said,
“The Island has a long tradition of open air jazz events such as Mottistone and we aim to add Summertime Blues & Jazz to the list. As well as raising funds for St Catherine’s, a Ventnor-based charity that supports children and young people with communication needs, the event will also help causes supported by the Rotary. We are inviting guests to bring a picnic and dance away.”
Gates for the event open at 4pm, with music from 5pm to 8pm. In the case of bad weather, the event will take place indoors.
Adults tickets (17yrs+) – £10 in advance or £12 at the gate; 12-16yrs – £5; Under 12’s – free (but need a ticket).
