A major scheme to repair the seawall at St Helens Duver is due to begin on Monday 2 April.
The repairs will include encasing the wall in a new layer of concrete, putting in new support structures and replacing the promenade deck. They are scheduled to be finished in July.
The works are being undertaken now to avoid the main peak summer season, and also because they could not be done in winter due to environmental restraints relating to wildlife.
Duver will remain open
St Helens Duver will remain open during the works, although at times sections will be closed to public access due to the construction work. This includes limited access to some beach huts while the promenade deck is replaced. All beach hut owners have been regularly informed of the latest information.
