Many readers have been in touch with OnTheWight over the past few weeks asking if we know when the annual St Helens Fort Walk will take place.
The traditional walk out to St Helens Fort on lowest tide in the summer has been taking place for years, attracting Islanders and visitors in their droves.
Plans discussed for tonight
Social media is all abuzz today with many talking of heading out to the fort this evening (Tuesday 12 August).
OnTheWight understands that many Islanders and visitors are planning to descend on St Helens and Bembridge Harbour late afternoon to walk out to the St Helens fort during one of the summer’s lowest tides.
Consensus for those discussing the walk seem to be settling on meeting around 6pm to walk out for the lowest tide at 7pm.
Be aware that anyone taking part in the event is doing so at their own risk.
