Ryde Inshore Rescue were tasked to their 14th Coastguard incident of the year yesterday when a 21ft Motor cruiser with four persons onboard broke down in Osborne Bay.
The crew of Ryde Rescue One helmed by Nic White were already afloat and managed to locate the casualty within seven minutes of the initial call.
Once on scene the vessel was taken under tow and they took her up Southampton water where Hamble Lifeboat, another local Independent station took over the tow and took them back up to the Hamble.
