Anyone following the abolition of the Student Rider, will know that last week Southern Vectis announced they would be extending the half price fare to 18.
Many feel that although the extension of the half price fare is a good gesture by Southern Vectis, it’s not far enough and that the Isle of Wight council should reconsider their decision to trash the student rider.
A march has been organised for Tuesday 17th August, gathering at Church Litten in Newport at noon with the intention of marching to County Hall.
Organisers are calling on all affected by the cut to the Student Rider to take part and show the council how strongly they feel about it.
