He’ll be entertaining the crowds at Camp Bestival this weekend, but at the end of August, Kid Creole and his rather gorgeous Coconuts will be making their way to the Isle of Wight.
If you haven’t already heard, Summer Madness! is a day-long event kicking off at 3pm on Sunday 30th August in Carisbrooke, featuring a number of bands throughout the day. The legendary nutty boys, Madness, will be celebrating their 30th anniversary in the evening by performing at this hotly anticipated gig.
Joining them on the bill will be the spectacular Kid Creole and the Coconuts. Anyone who has seen them perform before, will agree that they exude energy, originality and vibrancy.
Kid Creole said “We are thrilled to be able to play the Isle of Wight again, and we are very excited about sharing the stage with Madness. We expect to have a great time and a great show!”
Who’s behind the gig?
Summer Madness! is the brainchild of live music promoter and Isle of Wight resident John Curd, who has successfully promoted large scale music events for over 30 years and brought us The Sex Pistols Reunion Tour and numerous other Rock Royalty tours.
John Curd “As an Island resident, I wanted to create a boutique music event, that offered fantastic fun at a great location. The Isle of Wight is now starting to become known as the festival isle and we want to add to that great reputation, by providing a yearly event that puts on the very best of music in one of the most beautiful settings in the British Isles.”
