We love a challenge, especially if its something that results in fundraising and bringing people together.
Islander Anne Ricketts lives with disabilities caused by a traumatic brain injury. She’s had to cope with a lot since the injury, so organising a world record attempt must be a doddle, eh!
This Saturday (30thn June) from midday, Anne is hoping to bring people together for an awareness picnic and challenging a world record at the same time.
The global challenge
The picnic at Steyne Park, Bembridge forms part of a global challenge, with hundreds of other picnics taking place all over the world attempting to break a world record for the most picnickers at multi-locations in a single day.
It promises to be a fun packed event for everyone with stalls, face painting, a bouncy castle and games for children and music.
Take your own picnic and picnic rug and support this intrepid effort being made by people who are living with brain injury.
Feel free to bring bicycles and helmets for the smaller children, as there’ll be a small course for them to cycle through.
If you would like to have a charity or information stall at this event please call Annie on 407557
