Dear all at VentnorBlog,
I just wanted to say an enormous thank you to you for your support and invaluable help over the past weekend and in the run up to the Minghella Film Festival.
I’d also like to express our gratitude to local hotels, including the Royal at Ventnor, the Hambrough and West Bay Club, as well as Wightlink and numerous Island businesses who very generously made the Festival possible.
Encouraging new talent
There is no doubt that the Film Festival, in addition to encouraging new talent amongst our Island young people, (just as our lovely Anthony would have wished); the focus on this beautiful island which the event generates, together with the excellent facilities we have to offer, has got to have an unquantifiable value in terms of tourism and other opportunity.
When Anthony said it “This is a Great Day for the Isle of Wight”, it was his way of putting his beloved island on the Map. Thank you for helping us continue his wonderful legacy.
As one who reads your Blog daily, thank you too for the up to the minute information on all sorts of subjects close to my heart.
