The Jolly Fryer will be back in Chale from next Wednesday.
Following a fraught 48 hours or so, Caroline and Andy Phillips from the travelling fish and chip truck posted the good news on Facebook.
Background
On Monday night they received a call from the owner of the former Chale Green Stores, Vern Tyerman, advising that they would no longer be able to use the forecourt of the now-closed shop to trade from each Wednesday evening.
Common land confirmed
As reported by News OnTheWight, the land which the Jolly Fryer traded from was not part of the land owned by Mr Tyerman, and was in fact, common land.
This has been confirmed by the Chale Parish Council who told Caroline and Andy that they could return to the site from next week.
