First year degree students at Platform One who are studying for a three year commercial degree have been tasked with organising and implementing tonight’s event. It’s part of their ‘Live Event Management’ module.
The event takes place tonight (Wednesday) at Aspire in Ryde from 7.30pm. Tickets are £5 each.
Since quitting his job to tour full time in January 2014, Thomas George a.k.a ‘The Lion and the Wolf’ has played almost 300 shows – playing all over mainland Europe as well as the UK and US.
He has seen great successes with his debut album ‘Symptoms’ which was self-released the same year in November. Tom has toured with the likes of Rob Lynch, PJ Bond, Owls by Nature, Northcote, Billy the Kid, Koji, Bob Nanna and Signals Midwest but to mention a few.
This has all been orchestrated off Tom’s back which is something his fans highly respect. In 2015, Tom performed at various festivals including Isle of Wight, Hevy, Fest (US), Blissfields and 2000 trees.
The first album, ‘Symptoms’, was recorded down at Auckland House in Ventnor on the Isle of Wight and the approach was to use minimal digital plug-ins. The result was an organic and warm sounding record which Rock Sound called it “…a wholly autumnal, acoustic-led slice of melancholy”.’
This will be the first Isle of Wight show since 2015 and one not to be missed!
