The Optimists’ ‘Another Mistake’ showcases raw emotion and driving guitar lines

Isle of Wight rock outfit The Optimists have dropped their latest single, Another Mistake.

Blending the grit of 90s and 00s alternative rock with infectious melodies, the band has built a strong following along the south coast and beyond.

Their high-energy performances and anthemic choruses have made songs like Chase the Sun and Retro-Mania crowd favourites.

Making waves from the Isle of Wight
The Optimists join a growing list of successful acts emerging from the Isle of Wight, following in the footsteps of Wet Leg, Coach Party, Lauran Hibberd, and Grade 2.

They have already played alongside bands such as The K’s, The Clause, The Kairos, Feet, and The Rosellas.

Festival appearances have also been a major part of their journey, with performances at events like Victorious Festival and the Isle of Wight Festival‘s Main Stage.

The track is now available on all major streaming services.

Lead singer Matt Reads shared the meaning behind the song, saying,

Another Mistake is about revisiting a past relationship and realising it was a mistake, recognising that you have moved on and it was never meant to be.”

With their latest single and growing reputation, The Optimists are proving to be a band to watch in the UK rock scene.
