We love happy endings and we love them even more when VB plays a part in making it happen.
Last weekend, Maxine had her handbag stolen from a bar on the Island. Like most women’s handbags, it had her mobile phone and purse in it.
On Monday she bought herself a new phone to replace the old one, but was upset that by losing her phone, she’d also lost photos of her sons that were stored on the old phone.

This morning, the power of the VB social network proved itself to be second to none.
VB reader Michelle got in touch to let us know that she’d found a mobile phone in a Ryde taxi at the weekend and was keen to make sure it was returned to the owner.

We posted a message on our Facebook Page at 8.43am and 13 minutes later Maxine, who had her phone stolen at the weekend, got in touch.
After being able to describe the phone correctly, we put her in touch with Michelle, who she’ll be meeting this weekend when she’ll be reunited with not only her phone but the photos of her sons!
