Today sees residents in Shanklin South head to the polling station to cast their vote for one of the three contenders hoping to fill the vacancy of town councillor.
Those putting themselves forward for the role are Bob Blezzard of Perowne Way, Sandown; Ray Bloomfield of Vaughan Way, Shanklin and Geoff Clynch of Oaklyn Gardens, Shanklin.
The polling station closes at 10pm and the successful candidate will be announced after the count.
