There’s loads of stuff going on up in Ryde this coming weekend, one of which is a cracking lineup from The Development Suite at the Liquid Lounge on Sunday night.
If you haven’t seen them live yet, now’s your chance, Rico Stanza & Kristov Phillipe [;-)] aka The Soul Lounge, will be delivering the goods.
From Bob Marley, Jimmy Cliff and Marvin Gaye to the Rev. Al Green, James Brown and Gil Scott Heron. The Soul Lounge perform with the utmost soulful respect. Sting, McCartney & even Weller are amongst some of their specialities.’
Sharing the stage (not at the same time mind) will be For Wanda. I’ve never seen them live, but hear lots of good things and having checked out their myspace can confirm – it’s a very interesting sound they’ve got going on. Oh, and I love the background image of the chimp with a mask.
